In the year 1982 the Society inaugurated its own multistoried building at Ponda-Goa and named it as Bagayatdar Bhavan. Further the Society developed its own premises at Bicholim, Canacona, Marcel, Valpoi and very recently at Sanquelim.

The year 1988-89 was celebrated as the Silver Jubilee Year of the Society. This year was a milestone in the progress of the Society.

The first Bagayatdar Bazar with self service counter was started at Ponda in the year July 1989 and this Bazar lead to a big success for the Society. With this success story of Bazar concept the Society started spreading its wings and opened new Bazars at different location culminating into ten (10) Bazars presently. The Society continued to enjoy the Audit Rating ‘A’ for last many years.

The Goa State Co-operative Federation declared “Goa Bagayatdar” as the “Best Co-operative Society” in the Year 1999. The Society also bagged following two prestigious awards as under.

• (i)Goa State Best Co-op. Society Award – 2001
• (ii) NCDC Award for Co-operative Excellence – 2002.
